Gel polish (you might know it as Shellac) is painted on just like nail polish, then cured under a lamp so it sets hard straight away. No waiting for nails to dry, no smudges in your handbag, and a high-shine finish that lasts for weeks without chipping. What happens during your gel polish
- Choose your colour. Pick from our wide range of gel shades.
- Shape. Nails filed into your preferred shape.
- Cuticles. Gently pushed back and tidied so the gel sits neatly.
- Gel application. A base coat, two coats of colour and a top coat, each cured under the lamp.
- Finish. A wipe for that glossy shine and a little cuticle oil – and you're done, completely dry.
Hands, feet or with a luxury treatment?
Gel polish is available on its own for hands or feet, or as part of our luxury manicure and luxury pedicure for the full pamper.
Before and after your visit
Come with bare nails, or book a removal if you have gel on. Afterwards, use cuticle oil daily to keep the gel and your nails in good condition, and wear gloves for cleaning. Please don't peel or pick your gel off – it can take layers of your natural nail with it. Come back for a professional removal instead.

Is gel the same as Shellac?

Is gel polish bad for your nails?

Gel itself isn't damaging – it's peeling it off or rough removal that harms nails. That's why we always recommend a professional removal.
I already have gel on – what should I book?

Please book a gel removal as well as your new gel polish. If you don't, we won't have time to do both and you may still be charged.
Is it suitable for short nails?

Yes – gel works beautifully on short, natural nails.
