Our Story – An Independent Beauty Salon in Sheffield
Run by India Hudson, Hudson & Wood started out as a natural beauty and holistic salon – an independent beauty salon in Sheffield that has grown, over the years, to include a beautiful range of loungewear, homeware and accessories. We've nurtured the business slowly and carefully, and we still offer the treatments we began with, from our room at 237A Sharrow Vale Road.

What hasn't changed is how we look after people. We're a small, independent business, so every client matters to us – we remember how you like your massage, which polish you always come back to, and whether you'd rather chat or drift off. We'd much rather you leave feeling properly relaxed than squeeze in one more appointment.
Meet the founder
India Hudson
India has been a therapist for 22 years and opened Hudson & Wood to create the calm, unhurried salon she always wanted to work in. She still looks after clients herself and writes our journal.

Our holistic approach
For us, a treatment is about more than how you look when you walk out. It's an hour to stop, breathe and be looked after. That's why we choose products based on natural ingredients – like Eve Taylor's essential-oil skincare – keep our rooms calm and warm, and never rush. Whether you've booked a deep tissue massage or a quick brow tidy, you'll get the same care.
The Hudson & Wood shop
Alongside our treatment rooms, our shop is full of things we love – soft kimonos and loungewear, pretty homeware and thoughtful accessories. It's the perfect place to find a gift, or to pick up something cosy for yourself after your treatment. Our gift vouchers can be used on treatments and on clothing in the shop.
