Preparing for Brazilian waxing in Sheffield
A little preparation makes a big difference to how comfortable your wax feels and how long it lasts:
- Trim your hair to approximately one centimetre (about two to three weeks' growth after shaving).
- Exfoliate gently a day or two before to help the wax grip the hair, not the skin.
- Skip moisturiser, oils and sunbeds on the day.
- Wear comfy, loose clothing to travel home in.
What's included in a Brazilian wax?
A Brazilian removes hair from the bikini line, the front (leaving a neat landing strip – or a shape and width of your choice), underneath and between the cheeks. If you'd prefer everything removed, see our Hollywood wax; for a simpler tidy-up, our bikini wax.
What happens during your Brazilian wax
- A quick chat about the shape you'd like and any skin sensitivity.
- Privacy to undress from the waist down, with cover provided.
- Cleanse and trim any longer hairs.
- Hot wax applied and removed in small sections, quickly and confidently.
- Tidy and soothe with tweezers and a calming lotion.
After your Brazilian wax
For 24 hours, avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, the gym, sex, tight clothing and perfumed products. From day two or three, exfoliate gently a couple of times a week and moisturise to help prevent ingrown hairs. Rebook every four to six weeks for the smoothest results.
